About Area H

Area H encompasses a geographical area that includes much of Western Sydney and all of the Blue Mountains

Area H encompasses a geographical area that includes much of Western Sydney and all of the Blue Mountains. The Area was formed in 2005 following an Advisory Action from the General Service Conference, with a view to improving communication between the groups of Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.

Within the suburbs and postcodes of Area H, there are over 90 A.A. groups or meetings; all are eligible to participate in Area Assemblies and activities if their members choose to do so. This participation has many benefits for individual members and A.A. as a whole because it enables communication between groups and, most importantly, gives members a voice at the General Service Conference where policy decisions are made that ensure the future viability of A.A. in Australia.

If your group is interested in getting involved in Area H, or you just want to find out more, come along to the next Area H Assembly meeting. Of course, there’s no obligation to do or say anything at the Assembly meetings. Details can be found in the News and Events section of the homepage or you can receive meeting invites directly by registering your group here.
